11th Ibero-american Conference on Sports Economics rescheduled to October, 2020
On account of the COVID-19 situation, after a serious consideration of various scenarios that may unfold between now and the conference date, taking into account concerns over the health and well-being of participants and possible travel restrictions in many countries, the CIED11 organizing committee has decided to reschedule the 11th Ibero-American Conference on Sports Economics from June (4-5) to October (16-17), with pre-congress workshops on October 15th.
We decided to postpone the congress with the hope that, during this time, the uncertainty about the situation will be reduced and help participants to plan their trips. We really hope that all the participants that registered to attend in June can still attend in October.
Taking into account the new dates, and trying to facilitate things for participants, we have decided to push forward all the time line for important dates, which have been updated in our website.
We will continue informing all those concerned about any developments in the organization of the event, and appreciate your patience and support.
Welcome to the website of the XI Ibero-American Congress of Sports Economics, which will take place on 15, 16 and 17 October 2020 in A Coruña, at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of A Coruña.
The Ibero-American Congress on Sports Economics (CIED) is an annual meeting organized by the Spanish Society of Sports Economics (SEED), which aims to become a must-attend event for academics and professionals working in the field of sports management and economics.
A Coruña assumes the legacy of the ten previous editions in order to give continuity to an initiative that aims to configure the CIED as an excellent platform for disseminating research advances in economics and management of sport in Spain, as well as in Portugal and Latin America.
Along these lines, both the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee of the CIED11 redouble their commitment to the quality of the works and contributions presented. For this reason, they invite you to send original papers on any subject in the field of Sports Economics and Sports Management before 15 May 2020, following the instructions contained in the Submission of Papers.
In particular, this eleventh edition of the CIED will pay special attention to public policies and/or regulations that affect various areas related to the world of sport, understood in a broad sense.
This Conference is especially addressed to:
